Since we launched the website for Centenary News in 2011, the site has had over 500,000 visits and nearly a million page views.
The site was created to cover information and news about the 2014-18 First World War centenary.
Through news articles, events information, videos and educational resources, it aims to provide independent, impartial and international coverage of the centenary.
Over the past few years, the site has seen significant growth and built up a global audience. Centenary News editor, Peter Alhadeff, says:
"I'm delighted with the progress Centenary News has made since its launch from a standing start. Halfway through the First World War Centenary period, our presence is still growing, a trend that's likely to continue in 2017 as our international coverage broadens with the start of the US Centennial commemorations."
Since launching, over 400,000 people from 218 countries have visited Centenary News.
During this time, it's also received many comments expressing appreciation of the website, a few of which are shown below:
"Thank you so much for your website, it truly is a gem in promoting the act of remembrance. Additionally, it is a great portal to know how the world as whole is commemorating the First World War."
"Congratulations on a great website, it's very comprehensive and has some wonderful content, clearly a result of a lot of hard work."
"Congratulations for launching and maintaining what has fast become a must visit website for all those interested in the 1914-18 centenaries."
