The Notts TV team has issued the following press release. Inclusive Digital is part of the consortium that owns and operates the channel.
Notts TV has launched on Sky
Sky subscribers across the East Midlands can now get switched on to Notts TV.
By launching on Sky Channel 117, it means that viewers can now access the channel on Sky, Freeview, Virgin and online.
Launched just over a year ago, Notts TV has become essential viewing for many residents across Nottinghamshire.
But going on Sky also allows Notts TV to reach parts of Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands where the service could not previously be received.
Another new development for Notts TV is that it has increased its programming output and is now broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week, bringing local talent, local news and local sport to homes across the county and beyond.
Channel Director Jamie Brindle said: "The reaction so far has been brilliant, with viewers stopping our presenters in the street to offer congratulations and thousands more showing their support over social media. To celebrate, we’ve got some exciting programming coming up in the next few weeks, including the premiere of Nottingham documentary, This Girl Can, a new breakfast show format, and a brand new series of popular business show, Working Week.”
The Sky announcement sees the channel increase its coverage to 5 million homes across the East Midlands.
