Inclusive Digital has so far produced 19 television programmes for local television channel Notts TV.
Based in our office in the Lace Market in Nottingham, a team of Inclusive staff have worked across two series: ‘A Day in the Life’ (a factual entertainment show looking at a day in the life of Nottingham’s people and places), and ‘Nottingham Now and Then’ (a presenter-led history programme).
Executive producer Stephen Arkell has led a core team, including Kate Chaplin, Steve Cowper, Sylvia De Abreu and Ben Jay, to produce 8 episodes of ‘Nottingham Now and Then’. These episodes include Nottingham’s brewing heritage and a look in to the story of Boots, which was founded in the city 160 years ago.
The team has also produced 11 programmes of ‘A Day in the Life’, including episodes on the Theatre Royal, Sherwood Forest and Nottingham’s official modern day Robin Hood.
Stephen Arkell said:
"Nottingham Now and Then and A Day in the Life have really become part of the bedrock of Notts TV. When we conceived the programmes, we naturally hoped the audience would engage with them, but the feedback has been tremendous - far beyond our initial expectations. We'd like to think that's partly down to selecting great stories, and partly down to the fantastic team of young professionals we have working on the shows. That said, whatever the formula we've hit upon, it certainly seems to be a winning one.'
Inclusive Digital’s Nottingham based team will continue to produce 2 episodes of ‘A Day in the Life’ and 1 episode of ‘Nottingham Now and Then’ per month going in to the autumn.
Notts TV is a local television channel that can be watched in Nottinghamshire on Freeview and Virgin, or you can catch up online.
